We are looking to hire an aggressive Outside Sales Professional with a proven track record as a closer. The new outside sales representative will be working within our Glen Ellyn, IL facility and will have opportunities to earn a base salary and healthy commission. Software sales experience is a plus, but not required.

The mission for the Solutions Consultant is part of the team that implements a client's technology initiatives. An effective Solutions Consultant executes the architecture, analysis, and design provided by our Solutions Architect. The Solutions Consultant is key in completing development tasks for a successful client launch.

Responsibilities
  • Development tasks center around helping clients unlock the potential of their content.
  • Customer Experience projects involve the following tasks: configuring a site search platform, working with client data feeds, and performing User Interface integrations. Various technologies such as Java, .NET, and PHP are utilized throughout the project.
  • Content Intelligence projects involve configuring a state-of-the-art ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) platform, handling Big Data, and providing valuable information for clients.
  • Solutions Consultants also help improve our solutions to streamline future implementation projects.

The mission for the Solutions Architect is to participate in the overall strategy of a client's technology initiatives. An effective Solutions Architect drives the architecture, analysis, design, and implementation of our solutions. The Solutions Architect will also be involved in new business development through helping develop proposals and presenting potential solutions.

Responsibilities

Solutions Architects are the technical leads for implementations across our offered solutions. A Solutions Architect will be responsible for scoping out services implementations with our Practice Manager. After helping with a discovery workshop, the Solutions Architect will design and implement technical solutions based on customer requirements. Key deliverables are technical specifications and hardware sizing documents. Throughout the project, the Solutions Architect provides direction to the rest of the implementation team. To assist with development efforts, the Solutions Architect acts as an escalation point to the technical team.

Desired Outcomes
  • Lead site search implementations and provide effective technical design
  • Provide knowledge during existing solution assessments (e.g. Endeca)
  • Recommend supporting technology and integration methods (e.g. PCM, PIM, CMS)
  • Demonstrate value of the solutions throughout client interaction
  • Assist User Experience teams to best use the solutions during early project phases
  • Independently interact at the director-level and above in client organizations
  • Work with the Project Manager in establishing team goals, objectives, and budget

Support Engineer

Description/Qualifications:

Support Engineers are the technical point of contact for Thanx Media's customer base. A Support Engineer will be responsible for the initial assessment and analysis of Support ticket requests, retrieving additional detailed information to help troubleshoot, and resolving basic requests in a short period of time. A Support Engineer will be able to communicate with customers clearly and concisely over the phone and over electronic communications. This individual will have a demonstrated Customer focused track record. A Support Engineer will be able to handle multiple ticket requests throughout the day and the week - handling new requests as they arrive, and bringing other ticket requests to resolution. A Support Engineer will be able to effectively distinguish when to escalate ticket requests to senior members of the team, and enable the rapid resolution of ticket requests through detailed analysis and information gathering. This Customer focused individual will display persistence in working with senior team members to ensure that escalated tickets are resolved within a reasonable amount of time, and that customers are regularly informed of the status of their requests.

Aptitude/Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area
  • Familiarity with web-based front-ends using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with web-based applications using technologies such as PHP, JSP, ASP.NET, or Perl
  • Experience with databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Bonus: Experience with eCommerce platforms, site search platforms, or ETL technologies
Desired Achievements/Outcomes:
  • All ticket requests handled with the appropriate urgency, priority and communication frequency according to the proper Thanx Media guidelines and service level agreements

  • No customer initiated escalations due to poor or limited communication on outstanding ticket requests
